An Amazing Year for Newforma: New Platform, New Look, and a Return to In-Person Connections in 2023

As 2023 comes to an end, we look back at the monumental year for Newforma. From fully recognizing our acquisition and partnership with the investment in BIM Track, to a developing groundbreaking new product, to a triumphant return to in-person events, Newforma is proud to leave its mark on the AEC industry. So, let’s check out the key highlights that defined Newforma’s journey through 2023.

Newforma kicked off the year with a bold step forward, by joining forces with BIM Track and by launching a sleek and modern website accompanied by a fresh brand identity. The redesigned website not only improves user experience but also reflects our commitment to innovation.

We came together because we all believe that more connected project teams lead to better project outcomes, and we believe in innovation through digital collaboration.

With this merger, Newforma made a promise: that our vision of open standards and interconnectedness will forever change how the AECO industry designs and delivers its projects.

To emphasize this, Newforma was also pleased to showcase its new logo and look: you might have noticed our sleek new website, too! These embody the essence of our values of innovation and excellence, embodying a vision for the future of the construction industry landscape.

Our biggest announcement for the year was the launch of Newforma Konekt, our newest platform for project information management. Newforma Konekt brings together the very best elements from our trusted Newforma Project Center platform, with the BIM coordination and task management elements from BIM Track.

The result: a comprehensive platform premier web-based, cloud-hosted Project Information Management platform that provides a central location for project records, and which unifies conversations, project files, action items, and contractual workflows.

For the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Newforma World 2023 marked our triumphant return to hosting the user conference in-person!

We were so very honored to be joined by clients, colleagues, friends and Newforma enthusiasts, as we gathered for a memorable experience in Chandler, Arizona, filled with insightful sessions, collaborative workshops, and networking opportunities.

The engaging speaker sessions included Dr. Giovanna Brasfield, who highlighted the importance and profitability of diversity within the AECO industry, and David Sears, who made a lasting impression with his insights into teamwork and collaborative efforts, both of which really resonated with the audience.

The event was a testament to the resilience of the AECO community, and highlighted the fact that even though most of our work is done online, nothing beats the importance of face-to-face interactions. Newforma World 2023 was not just a conference; it was a celebration of the strength and unity of the Newforma community.

As we bid farewell to 2023, we’re excited to have introduced new technology that leads the way for the industry trends of the coming year. We’ve set the bar very high for innovation, user experience, and collaboration, and in 2024 it’ll only go higher.
